The Prince of Wales Hospital Mental Health Intensive Care Unit is a brand new building on a greenfield site, located within the Prince of Wales Campus Randwick. The construction of this building is a 2 storey building with a structure to support a proposed 7 storey addition in the future. This project is the first of its kind for the health district which will treat patients with cases of mental health that cannot be handled by any other facility. This unit will facilitate up to 12 patients at any one time for short stays and once settled, they will be relocated to another facility.
