The contracted works were performed in separate portions to ensure the hospital could remain fully operational throughout the construction period. Works included the upgrade of infrastructure, the main stormwater system service, and the installation of a new fire main service. This required the single-lane access road to be excavated for installation of pipes whilst maintaining traffic flow to the property.
