Design and construct of a 20 storey residential development comprising of 129 apartments, retail shops at ground level, car parking over 2 basements, ground and level 1. The car park is serviced by 2 car lifts, no ramps. The unique curved design features curved GRC panels, windows and balustrades. The works included the demolition of the existing building and excavation for the two levels of basement car parking. As the site is located over the inner city train line, extensive monitoring of the impact of works on the train tunnel was mandatory – to achieve compliance with Sydney Trains requirements. The site is also situated in a busy retail precinct with high pedestrian traffic. Traffic and safety management is a high priority onsite.
