We completed the early works package where we terminated the existing incoming fire and DCW services and installed new connections from the authority mains through new meter set-up and fire booster to ensure a good supply of potable water to the hospital. The 11-storey centre will feature a light-filled full-height atrium, education centre, multi-level lecture theatre, exhibition space, ground-floor café, multiple seminar and tutorial rooms as well as a variety of specialised laboratories. These spaces will include 3D printing laboratories, a human kinetics lab, a clinical simulation lab, insulated rooms that enable development of sensitive hearing and vision technologies, engineering workshops to produce medical device prototypes and robotics that can be used to fast track clinical trials.
